Dogs of London
Dogs of London
In 2012 I was quite the jetsetter, traveling to faraway places like London, Cairo, Luanda, and Dubai. I racked up the frequent flyer miles as I ate ice cream sundaes in United's business class seats. But all that travel came to a grinding halt when I had children and my company restricted travel due to the drop in oil prices. After being completely out of practice for four years, I finally got to go overseas again... to London!
London in October was fantastic. The weather was crisp, the sun came out, and the leaves were "autumnal." And luckily I had some spare time to explore.
Fresh off the plane, I tubed it down to the Southbank and met fellow pet photographer Bridget for coffee. Her work is amazing! The area was bustling as it was school holidays, and I did what tourists do and photographed Big Ben and the London Eye.
Another day I visited the Kensington area and met several dogs and their people. Aren't those plaid coats and collars the cutest?!
On my last day in London, I took the train out to the countryside to visit Hever Castle. The fall colors and lovely gardens did not disappoint.
I like to think that love for dogs is a universal language, and I enjoyed chatting with these dogs' owners while visiting the UK.
Where have you traveled this year? Do you like to strike up conversations with the locals?
